Lancashire Coastal Way

The Coastal Way stretches 137 miles, from Merseyside to Cumbria. The Lancashire coastline is made up of a variety of landscapes, the limestone scenery of Arnside and Silverdale, saltmarshes, architectural land, seaside resorts and the river estuaries of the Lune, Wyre and Ribble.

You can explore the region’s history by seeing the relics of coastal fortifications and early Christianity as well as evidence of early iron, salt and limestone industries. The route is particularly renowned for its fantastic views of Morecambe Bay, the Bowland Fells and the Lake District.
