Lowry Sculpture

A sculpture in honour of artist LS Lowry is situated on the picturesque seafront at Knott End. The sculpture is sited close to the Knott End to Fleetwood Ferry and the Knott End Cafe.

The sculpture celebrates Lowry’s links with the village as depicted in his painting The Jetty at Knott End, near Fleetwood and portrays a matchstick man and dog from the artwork. The Lancashire artist often visited Knott End in the 1940s and 1950s and painted a number of seafront scenes illustrating the Fleetwood ferry and people waiting on the jetty.
