Enjoy the great outdoors and some family friendly events this Easter around Morecambe Bay.



Lakeland Wildlife Oasis invites you to come and enjoy its EGGstravaganza – come and discover which of our animals hatch out of eggs – some might surprise you!


Lancaster Maritime Museum is offering some fantastic crafty workshops – but do book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Thursday 11 April – Pebble art – Get crafty and be inspired to create some beautiful pebble art to take home.
Friday 12 April – Charlie’s Choco Bars – What would Charlie’s chocolate bars look like? Design and create some chocotastic wrappers along with a Golden ticket to go inside.
Monday 15 April – Clucking chickens – Make some noise with a funky clucking chicken!
Tuesday 16 April – Easter Eggstra! – Get creative and design your own Faberge inspired egg and holder.
Wednesday 17 April – Marvellous Mobiles – Make an Easter mobile to take home.
Thursday 18 April – Easter basket – Design and create an Easter Basket for all your mini eggs.
Wednesday 24 April – Amazing Acrobats – Make your own acrobat – What tricks will yours perform?
Thursday 25 April – Crazy kites –Create a cool kite for a windy day.
Friday 26 April – Pebble art – Get crafty and be inspired to create some beautiful pebble art to take home.

All Session times: 10.15am, 11.15am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm
All Workshops (except Charlie’s Choco Bars which is free) – £1 per child.




Happy Mount Park is also staging an Easter Eggstravaganza on the 20th April.

Meet the Easter Bunny at 12.15 prompt and join our Easter Egg Hunt trail! Lots of fun activities throughout the afternoon, including egg & spoon race, Easter bonnet competition, egg painting workshop, colouring competition and much more! Each child that finds an egg is rewarded with a free chocolate cream egg.




Salt Ayre Leisure Centre offers a host of activities for kids over the Easter holidays, from specially-priced swims on the 10th and 17th April, to exhilarating Nerf Wars on the 8th April (suitable for 9-11 years). The Creation Station offers some Disney On Ice themed fun this holiday on the 9th April, or you can swim and splash at our Crazy Inflatable Party on the 9th, 11th, 16th and 18th April. Learn to Cycle with our confidence building sessions on the 15th April or be entertained by Harvey Rush’s eggs-tra special kids’ party on the 18th April.

Don’t forget we’ve also got sessions at X-Height Climbing, Energy Soft Play and Gravity Outdoor Flight Tower.

RSPB Leighton Moss offers a self guided trail: the ‘Wild Challenge’ trail is a fantastic way to find out more about the weird and wonderful creatures that live in and around the bay, and how you can help preserve their precious habitats. Or you can go pond-dipping with ‘What Lives Beneath’ on April 9th and discover a hidden aquatic world.
