The Bay – ITV Series set in Morecambe Bay
Have you been watching The Bay, ITV’s 6-part crime drama set in Morecambe? As it moves into its third week, the plot thickens and more family members and friends come under suspicion. Can Detective Sergeant Lisa Armstrong put her own feelings aside and unlock the lies and mystery to find the killer?
This compelling drama is set in and around Morecambe and the various outdoor locations are familiar to local residents. The brooding sea is a brilliant backdrop to this gritty drama and the Promenade and Stone Jetty provide ideal locations for some dramatic scenes. Morecambe Police Station is recognisable, as are the locations of some of the characters’ houses, which look out over the bay. Later on in the series, the filming moves further north – so keep an eye out for Grange Lido – a gem of Art Deco architecture and the focus of a dedicated renovation campaign.
The Bay began airing on Wednesday 20th March on ITV. The six-part series is scheduled to air every Wednesday at 9pm. If you miss an episode you can catch up via ITV Hub.
