Old School Brewery

Our brewery, built on traditional skills and values, has its home in an ancient barn, nestling at the foot of Warton Crag, where we mix top quality ingredients with a great deal of love, more than a little patience and a deep seated respect for the heritage and beauty of our surroundings, to produce award winning hand-crafted ales.

Founded in 2012 by Ian Walsh and Ren Wallbank. Initially something of a hobby, the brewery grew into something much more. We now deliver award winning beers to a huge variety of cafes, pubs and bars across Lancashire, Cumbria, The Dales and Greater Manchester, producing more beer than we ever thought imagine

Although there are only four simple ingredients to craft beer (water, malted barley, hops and yeast) the brewing process can be quite complex. Which is why since we opened we’ve always strived for quality and consistency. We aim to achieve this by using only the finest quality ingredients in our ales and beers, and by simply treating everything we use with lots of love and patience to produce the perfect pint time and time again.

All of which as you might expect goes along way to ensuring that each and every drop of beer that we produce leaves the brewery to our exacting standards. We’re only a small brewery but we’re very proud of what we do.

The Brewery hosts a variety of special events throughout the year, ranging from food and beer evenings to our very own music nights – Open Nights. We certainly know how to put on a good show, with warm hospitality and our legendary famous Old School Brewery welcome.
